**Main purpose of the job**

The Materials & Distribution Supervisor is responsible for the Warehouse function, which includes but not limited to staff management, stock control, dispatching, receiving, stock recons and the replenishing of stock and other items belonging to the company.

Reporting to the National Manager: Materials & Distribution, you will be responsible for managing all inventory control related activities.

**Key responsibilities**
- Execute inventory control measures to ensure the company minimizes stock.
- Holding and maximizes stock system and paperwork accuracy.
- To ensure the efficient picking, packing, and tracking of all stock items moving in and out of warehouse / stock management system.
- Develop the company’s inventory management with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits (Project Budget)
- Exception reporting on procurement outside Project Budget.
- Manage and control inventory accuracy checks.
- Ensure materials are ready and available for production according to workflow.
- Perform cyclic stock checks.
- Ensure works orders / Stock Request form are correct and fully completed and that all requested stock has been allocated to the correct project via Stock Movement journal.
- Place stock in designated areas for _(on-going)_ projects.
- Ensure works orders / Stock Return form are correct and fully completed and that all returned stock has been allocated to the correct project via Stock Return/Movement journal.
- Reconcile Stock Request and Stock Return on Project regularly with PM’s to counter stock losses.
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
- Receiving Stock
- Ensuring that stock is received as per Purchase order.
- Ensuring that all stock received is received in good condition.
- Ensure that no stock is received without PO or Internal order.
- Taking full responsibility for ALL stock in the stores, whether Company or customer owned
- Adhere and comply with Forecasting process and procedures.
- Ensuring that collections, such as from SARS, Tender documentation etc., requested from time to time is done promptly.
- Ensuring that deliveries and collections are done at a minimum cost.
- Performing tasks given, from time to time, such tasks may not necessarily be tasks forming part of the individual’s Job Description but are tasks the individual should be able to do.

**Experience & Qualifications**
- Minimum Grade 12 / Matric
- Diploma in Warehouse Management or Equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience in a Warehouse Management role Ideally possessing a relevant professional.

**Salary**: From R20,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Midrand, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
