Key areas of responsibilities
This role requires a high level of focus, attention to detail, assessment and analysis of data, accurate reconciliations and reporting daily, weekly and monthly.
This role is admin intensive with strict daily, weekly and monthly deadlines that need to be adhered to.
Daily liaisons with Traders, banks, Finance teams, Accounts Payable, Trade Execution and Silo bag Depot sites (remote areas of South Africa).
Stock Control
Silo transfers per storage facility, Cooperatives (Co-ops) imported to the ERP system
Farm storage data to be imported daily
Repo Invoicing
Repurchasing or financing requests from Traders
Storage management
Invoicing
Checking, capturing and processing invoices on in-house ERP system.
Stock Reconciliations
Reconciliation of statement and invoices for service provider payments, daily.
ERP system vs 3rd Party monthly reconciliation - 4th day of the new month deadline.
General administration and any administrative functions and ad hoc support required.
SAGIS files updated with silo bag depot intakes and dispatches, cross border and vessels
Queries relating to weekly and monthly submissions
SACTA levies updated and reported to Vessel Compliance Team
Minimum professional qualifications and experience
Tertiary qualification in Finance and/or Accountancy and related field of study.
Minimum five years’ demonstrated experience working in a similar position.
Essential skills
Intermediate Excel proficiency.
Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
Planning, organising and excellent time management skills.
Critical thinker with emotional resilience to overcome obstacles.
Ability to work well within a team environment.
Ability to work in an admin intensive and detail orientated role.
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
Excellent numerical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Desirable skills
Experience using an ERP system.
Exposure to SAP and banking platforms.
Exposure to the Grains Industry.
General
Office based in Techno Park, Stellenbosch.
Work model - full time attendance, Monday to Friday with ad hoc days working from home.
Reports to Operations Manager.
Salary is market related basic salary, with medical and provident benefits.
Harvest and seasonal periods (high volume); generally March to August/September annually.
