We are on the hunt for a **Product Manager - In Person payments** reporting to the **Head of Product.**

**About you**

In your role, you will oversee one of our newest payment channels and product lines i.e., in Person payments. As product manager for In Person payments you will be responsible for scoping development for the new product line and drive its implementation and launch, as well as be the go-to person for both internal and external stakeholders. The payment channel will not only need scoping and implementation of payment features but also several new value-added services.

**What you'll be doing**
- Prioritise and define the roadmap for In Person Payments
- You will develop and prioritise a roadmap and define quarterly goals that are in line with the overall business strategy.
- Identify product requirements.
- Work with business stakeholders to identify and analyse opportunities to improve our In Person payment products and translate these into clear user stories for your team.
- Own the product backlog for In Person payments.
- Build and prioritise the product backlog ensuring the team is working on the biggest problems and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, infrastructure teams, internal stakeholders, and partners to identify opportunities, develop effective solutions, and deliver them across the finish line. Prioritise different problems, making sure that imminent problems are resolved first, but the long-term is also taken care of.

**What you'll need**
- Degree or Relevant experience
- Strong Payments Background: Experience with payments and a good understanding of local and international payments is a requirement. EMV knowledge is a big advantage.
- You can make strategic choices, taking into consideration not only business needs but especially the technical needs as well as the needs of the team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey product strategy to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Familiar with retail and/or Hospitality and/or Food sectors and their payment journeys specificities
- Project Management: Familiar with various project management techniques and philosophies.
- Flexibility: As the ‘go to’ person, the Product Manager must wear many hats. Comfortable working in a very dynamic environment.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels of management, both inside and outside of Payfast.
- Results Oriented: Proven record of high performance managing complex initiatives to achieve outstanding results
- Highly Motivated Mindset determined on Execution and Delivery
- Flexible, proactive, and self-motivated with strong personal ownership of problem resolution
- Ability to multi-task under pressure and work independently with mínimal supervision
