**Job Purpose**:
The Department of Human Settlements, Western Cape Government (WCG) has an exciting employment opportunity for a suitable individual who would like to make a difference by managing integrated housing and human settlement development through programmes and projects. to facilitate the development of provincial strategies, policies and integrated plans. The successful incumbent must possess the ability to work under pressure, willingness to work irregular hours and meet strict deadlines. This post is stationed in Cape Town, CBD.
**Minimum Requirements**:
An appropriate 3-year B-degree/ Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) or higher qualification as recognised by SAQA in the built environment; A minimum of 5 years relevant senior managerial level experience; A valid driving licence or alternative mode of transport for people with disabilities; Completion of Certificate for entry into the SMS (Senior Management Service) upon appointment.
**Recommendation**:
Post graduate qualification; Professional registration with relevant bodies.
**Key Performance Areas**:
Manage human settlements and other conditional grants; Administer housing projects and subsidies; Render a professional development advice service regarding human settlement development; facilitate departmental engagement with municipalities and render human settlement development monitoring and support; Promote and manage economic empowerment of communities and emerging contractors of housing assets; Strategic Management; Change Management; Financial Management; People Management.

All-inclusive salary package of R 1 269 951 per annum (Salary Level 14)
Note: The remuneration package consists of a basic salary (70%) and the employer's contribution to the Pension Fund. The remainder of the package may be structured according to your personal needs.
