About the Role

As a Legal Editor with a focus on U.S. online and print tax products, you will build author relationships through our print publications. You will edit manuscript, plan publication releases, secure release highlights, and implementing process improvements.

You will work with U.S. based authors to ensure the accuracy, of the products, while complying with production schedules, best practices, and publishing standards. You will also work on U.S. online tax products, including reviewing and updating both federal and state products.

**Responsibilities**:

- Building and maintaining author relationships for existing publications, ensuring timely receipt of manuscript in proper format.
- Developing, updating, and adhering to production release schedules in compliance with customer and business needs
- Assuring receipt of complete manuscript, supporting documentation, and release highlights for all publications.
- Copyediting and reviewing manuscript for substantive accuracy with consideration for functionality in all media. Observing the conventions of the product itself and LexisNexis.
- Implementing operational efficiencies to support best practices and adherence to publishing milestones.
- Supporting marketing and sales activities by collaborating with colleagues. create content for sales campaigns and training, value statements and other formation as requested.
- Contributing to initiatives as needed, including competitor analysis, content expansion, new product development, Practical Guidance, CLE, sales training, tool testing. Contributing to any other new initiatives that may arise.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in publishing or solid legal practice experience
- Able to demonstrate solid organizational and project management skills when dealing with multiple priorities to meet rigid and frequent deadlines.
- Be self-motivated and demonstrate initiative and good problem-solving skills
- Prioritize time management skills to meet rigid and frequent deadlines
- Have experience with content management systems and MS Office
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate collaboration across multiple time zones.
