We are looking for a young, energetic and super-organised person to join our team at our Head Office in Durban and who will report to the Head CMT Planner.

**JOB PURPOSE**:
Local CMT & Beanie
- To set up production schedule including lead times of all operations within the production process; cutting, make outwork, pressing, QA and packing.
- To ensure the on-time booking and scheduling of production to meet the delivery dates required by the customer

Stock Planning & Procurement
- To oversee the placement of orders for trims and fabrics with competent suppliers whether for import or local production within the delivery lead time required.
- To oversee the tracking of orders, weekly, to ensure on-time delivery of CMT orders.
- To take responsibility for stock control including quarterly stock takes of Raw Materials, Trims and Supplies
- To oversee the communication of weekly stock on order and delivery dates to all branches.
- To communicate weekly on order and delivery dates to Plant General Manager

KEY DUTIES

1. Forecasting and scheduling of production plan
- Detailed calculation of each operation in the production process, cutting and make and ensuring it is within the parameters quoted.
- If style is to spec, confirm time study from sample production with production manager.
- Check booking with fusing, embroidery and printing, both in-house and outwork, to ensure dates are in line with lead time for delivery.
- Manage workflow through QA, Pressing & Packing and facilitate night shift if necessary.

2. Monitor Production and Quality Audits
- Track orders weekly and facilitate all changes which need approval.
- Follow orders through the process for Local CMT production and ensure timeous delivery into the warehouse.
- Attend production meeting daily to ensure lead times are tracked and critical path is managed to meet customer delivery date.
- Matric / NQF 4 qualification or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in the clothing manufacturing industry
- Ability to manage multiple orders at any one time
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to drive and motivate performance through effective team work and interaction with departments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong listening, presentation and decision-making skills
- Self-starter - ability to work unsupervised, manage own time and activities
- Solid organizational skills, ability to identify more critical/less critical activities by identification of deadlines
