Marketing Executive

Energy Capital & Power (ECP) is an Africa-focused global leading investment platform for
the energy sector. Through a series of events, online content and investment reports, ECP
unites the entire energy value chain - from oil and gas exploration to renewable power
- and facilitates global and intra-African investment and collaboration.

ECP is dedicated to bringing investment to all segments of the energy value chain in Africa
and globally, including hydrocarbons exploration and production, gas-to-power, refining
and petrochemicals, power infrastructure, nuclear energy and solar, wind and hydroelectric
power. ECP puts a premium on creating connections and provides access to information
and exposure to deals that African energy businesses need to grow.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic French speaking Marketing Executive to
work with show teams to plan marketing campaigns for ECP projects that include
corporates, strategic communications, media, conferences, and events to meet strategic
and commercial objectives. This role plays an integral part in reaching a highly targeted
audience within Francophone countries.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to all aspects of marketing activities, ensuring best practice marketing techniques, and communicating a clear promotional message.
- Work with Marketing Director and Marketing Lead to draft the marketing strategy and then implement accordingly.
- Develop and implement social media content plan across products and channels aligned with overall marketing strategy.
- Utilize and manage digital tools (i.e. mobile app, survey tool, GA4, Hubspot, GleanIn, Canva,Adobe Suite, etc) to enhance campaigns.
- Manage the sponsor and exhibitor promotional campaigns and contribute to campaign strategy.
- Collaborate with the Programming team to deliver speaker, advisory board and ambassador marketing promotional packs and follow-up.
- Marketing administration including proof reading, delivering advertising copy, responding to enquiries, monitoring competitor activity etc.
- Negotiate and fulfilment of barter details with appropriate media partners and associations, aligned to marketing and event strategy.
- Liaise with external suppliers (incl. PR companies, designers, online providers, digital agencies, data houses, registration companies, printers, photographers, videographers, mailing houses, etc).
- Support the implementation of research projects to review customer satisfaction and identify portfolio developments.
- Provide onsite support to ensure the smooth running of marketing related activity (i.e. Registration, press office, research, placement of branding and materials; sales stand).
- Assist in the delivery of all planned campaigns.
- Create tracking links and maintain tracking master files per project
- Assist in testing and monitoring active marketing programs with developing ways to improve those campaigns.

**Qualifications**
- Native French speaker - ESSENTIAL
- Tertiary qualification (Media, Marketing related).
- SA residence / visa and ability to work. We will not be able to relocate anyone (Cape Town specific)
- 2+ years in a marketing executive role ideally involving lead-generation.
- Experience in the use of databases in both mass and targeted direct marketing campaigns
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with and relate to all levels both within and outside the organization.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills.
