Commercial Project Manager and Associate Director:

We are searching for an innovative and results-oriented Commercial Project Manager and Associate Director: People and Resources to join our Water Advisory Group. As a member of the Advisory Group (AG) management team, the Commercial Project Manager and Associate Director: People and Resources will be jointly responsible for sound project management responsibilities and developing a performing portfolio for people and resources within the AG.

**What you will do as the Commercial Project Manager and Associate Director: People and Resources**
**People management**:

- Support staff resourcing including liaison with other AGs to ensure capacity is available and/or utilised efficiently and effectively within AG.
- Support team formation to fit market requirements, including recruitment, resource and succession planning.
- Support development of staff - ensure development reviews are completed, training planned and followed up, knowledge is shared, and staff are encouraged to reach their full potential, through direct coaching or coaching by senior colleagues.
- Take joint responsibility for HR staff issues within the AG i.e. drive succession planning and mentorship including annual reviews, performance management and welfare of staff.
- Support communication of Business Line and Group strategy and information on a regular and timely basis to ensure staff are informed and engaged with the company and Business line direction.
- Promote diversity and inclusion within the AG.

**Strategic leadership**:

- Demonstrating leadership in the development and implementation of the strategic objectives of the AG and responsibility for AG activities in support of the DAG.
- Contributing in the development and execution of annual operational plan of AG.
- Enhancing cooperation with the AG, BU and BL Management team in the delivery of BL Vision and Strategy.
- Support in managing change within the AG - ensuring engagement with new processes and procedures.
- Contribute to the digitalisation and innovation of the BU’s service offering within relevant scope to promote and ensure automation and enhancement of processes.
- Encouraging culture of Enhancing Society Together on all internal operations

**Internal operations/ business processes**:

- Support in the implementation of Business Integrity Management and communication/adherence of BIMS and business principles in the AG.
- Support in compliance of AG activities with the companies’ procedures, Business line guidelines.
- Management of Projects /Proposals.
- Responsibility for positive execution result of projects within portfolio/region within the AG.
- Take role of Project Sponsor on complex projects
- Ensure all staff CV’s are kept up to date and that staff are encouraged to actively ‘win’ work through their reputation internally/externally.
- Proactively manage the preparation and review of proposals prepared by the AG, in accordance with the valid Power of Attorney and actual Authorization Matrix.

**Clients/ Markets**:

- Supporting team to achieve targets
- Proactive Management of opportunities leads and understanding of market trends.
- Support and co-ordination of the marketing and Client activities if applicable.
- Responsible for Client relations including maintaining or achieving client satisfaction
- Account management for solid accounts within the AG

You will join the Water Advisory Group, which forms part of our Business Line Southern Africa.

**What you bring**:

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification from a recognised institution
- A post-graduate qualification is advantageous
- Professional registration (PrEng/ PMP) essential
- Minimum 8 years post graduate experience in relevant fields
- Minimum 5 years specific exper
