**Job Purpose**
- The Department of Police Oversight and Community Safety, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to provide asset management services within the department.

**Minimum Requirements**
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 1 year relevant asset management experience.

**Key Performance Areas**
- Coordinate and administer the capturing, allocation of all physical (moveable) assets in the physical asset management registers and safekeeping thereof; Coordinate, implement and monitor assets in accordance with the relevant policy and procedures; Coordinate and administer the disposal process of assets; Supervisor functions; Experience in relevant systems (LOGIS).

**Competencies**
- Knowledge of the following: Financial norms and standards, (Public Finance Management Act -PFMA, National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions/Directives; Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain Management systems such as LOGIS; Movable asset management policies, procedures and applicable delegations of authority; SCM regulations, policies, procedures, applicable delegations and asset management forms; Lease, maintenance and types of lease contracts. Skills in the following: Computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word Excel, PowerPoint); Communication skills (written and verbal); Accounting finance and audit; Planning and organising; Ability to analyze, conceptualise and implement policies; A valid driving license will be advantageous.

**Remuneration**
- R 397 116 - R 467 790 per annum (Salary level 8)
