Broker Finance System Administrator

**Purpose of position**:
Managing and performing all required financial transactions within the broker finance division.

**Responsibilities**:

- Insurance system accounting: Allocation of cash premium to policies,

Debit order collections and reconciliation of debit order files to bank collection confirmations, Claim payments & allocations of recovered funds, Refunding premiums to clients, Broker commission statements and binder fee payments and reconciliations
- Insurance accounting: System premium to bank reconciliation with cash book capturing, System claims to bank reconciliation with cash book capturing, Journal processing for premiums and claims
- Expense processing & analysis
- Reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations

**Requirements**:

- Matric (essential)
- Relevant degree or qualification (advantageous)
- Experience in the short-term insurance industry (preferred)
- Facultative business placement accounting knowledge
- Reinsurance accounting knowledge
- Previous experience with Genasys, MMX, Grail, Tial, or similar insurance-related systems (advantageous)
