RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensuring that corporate objectives are met through the cascading of the
Corporate initiatives for ETQA, Learning Programmes and Regional Operations into individual performance contracts
Implementing the operational plan through the effective definition of performance targets for ETQA, Learning
Programmes and Regions, as well as measures in order to evaluate success
Conducting performance agreements, PDP’s & evaluations as per Client policy & procedure

Ensure recruitment of high calibre & suitable staff capable of meeting inherent job requirements

Ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation throughout the organisation in terms of Employment practices
Ensuring low performers are managed within the Client policies & procedures & legislation to ensure that performance contribution increases

Promote regular and ongoing opportunities for all staff to give feedback on programme operations

Leading, coaching and developing
LGSETA’s operations management team for all strategic plan implementation processes, with an emphasis on developing capacity in strategic analysis, planning and program budgeting
Ensures staff members are continually being trained & developed in the relevant skills to support attainment of Client objectives

Being actively involved in all programmes, services and initiatives, developing a broad and deep knowledge of all programmes
Identifying opportunities for Client to leverage cross-programme strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or to address organisational
challenges

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Minimum: Postgraduate degree in Education, Business Leadership, Strategic
Management or related field (NQF level 8)
Ideal: The above complimented by a MBA / MBL

A minimum of 8 years management experience in training, education and development, with at least 5 years in Senior Management. Extensive experience in provision of and
facilitating the implementation of skills development initiatives across regional areas, qualification design and monitoring training provision of coupled with experience in the
preparation and management of strategic plans, operational plans and budgets

Experience in a similar position, preferably in the education, skills and development sector with progressive exposure to ETQA, learning programme development and
facilitation - with a track record of effectively leading a complex array of programmes with the ability to leverage strengths across programme areas. Experience working with
external partners
