**Eduvos**is looking to hire the services of an **Independent Contractor, Biology Lecturer,** at our **Pretoria**campus on a part-time basis.**

**Type of appointment**:
**Independent Contractor (part-time; flexible workhours agreement)**

**Purpose**:

- To lecture Applied Sciences-related modules, in the faculty on a part-time (contractual) basis.
- To assist in the administration and departmental affairs and activities as required by the academic department.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Minimum qualifications required**:
- Minimum qualification: MSc (Masters) in Biology and/or Biotechnology or a related qualification

**Experience**:

- Relevant lecturing experience
- Necessary knowledge of higher education practices and processes
- Relevant research experience

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Modules to be lectured**:

- Principles of Biology
- Introduction to Biology
- Introduction to Science
- Ethnobotany
- Animal and Plant Biology
- Medical Microbiology and Immunology
- Introduction to Molecular Biology

**Responsibilities**:

- Lecturing
- General administration
- Setting and marking of assessments
- Preparation of notes and additional study materials
- Quality Assurance
- Management of At-risk students
