On the Dot, a subsidiary of Media24, currently requires the services of a Distribution Coordinator

We seek to appoint a dynamic and energetic individual to assume responsibility as a
**Distribution Coordinator**, reporting to the Pamphlets Operations Manager. The position will be based in
** Montague Gardens, Cape Town.** Main purpose of the role**:
Management of route owners, ISP and subscriber organisers

Key responsibilities: (The primary tasks, functions and deliverables of the role)
- Engage door to door delivery’s, subscription delivery and retail delivery contractors regarding compliance to SOP on product distribution, media and non-media within a geographical area
- Proactively plan and enforce compliance to deliver a high level of service.
- Play a supporting role in dynamic route planning projects to optimise area cost and service
- Directly manage distribution through disciplined and well trained contractors
- Communicate all relevant policies
- Daily, Weekly and monthly measuring of contractor compliance and Reporting.
- Resolve any escalated issues from Service centre and ensure feedback within agreed turnaround times.
- Implement optimisation and management in order to utilise networks across OTD in order to improve efficiency
- Service providers assessed, trained to achieve optimum performance within budget.
- Problems are identified proactively, root causes identified speedily and practical steps are taken to prevent the recurrence of suchproblems.
- Knowledge of briefing and debriefing of external contractors

**Requirements**:

- Matric or equivalent
- Diploma in Transport and Logistics
- 3-5 years’ experience.
- Previous experience in managing SLAs and external contractors;
- Previous experience in FMCG;
- Previous inventory experience;
- Retail experience;
- Media distribution
- Knowledge of distribution principles;
- Knowledge of inventory management
