Payroll Specialist

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

The **Payroll Specialist** ensures that group payroll processes and daily payroll operations are administered and supported correctly and efficiently. The incumbent will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders regarding reconciliations and payroll payments.

**DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support and supervise the payroll administrators with daily payroll operations per country.
- Manage all payroll processing tasks daily and escalate challenges to the Payroll Manager.
- Review all payroll hours imported for monthly and weekly payrolls via the employee clocking system, UKG Dimensions.
- Assist Group Finance with all payroll reporting requests for month-end, annual and payroll audit timelines, taking ownership of payroll accounting deliverables in the team.
- Review weekly leave integration with UKG Dimensions & Sage 300 Payroll.
- Review all payroll payments and submit them to the Payroll Manager for final approval.
- Review all reconciliations and store splits for 3rd-party payments and Net Pay.
- Responsible for Paymenow Deduction Bulk and Reconciliation Process.
- Maintain and review payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting necessary changes.
- Supervise the monthly Group Tax Validation Process; all mandatory master data must be up-to-date.
- Assist the Payroll Manager with ad-hoc duties and projects.
- Take ownership of all SAGE 300 system reviews and escalate any anomalies to the payroll manager.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, overseeing a large payroll.
- SAGE 300 People experience.
- Knowledge and experience in African country payroll administration and payroll accounting.
- Experience working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft, especially Excel.
- Experience of a migration from one payroll into Sage 300 People
