What you'll do
- Help make Spotify the go-to destination for music fans and audio listeners in the SSA region
- Lead and run all of Spotify Africa’s social accounts
- Work with agencies to lead, develop, implement and analyze social content
- Your strong expertise and feel for culture and trends will help develop, build and produce outstanding marketing content across the region
- Build a social media presence that people look forward to hearing from and engaging with
- Drive regional always-on content marketing programs
- Localize global marketing programs for African markets
- Work closely with cross-functional Spotify teams across the globe
- Help build marketing investment strategies based on the company’s business goals for Africa
- Work with external partners (creative, media, and social agencies)

Who you are
- You are a credible Social Media Marketing professional with a minimum of 3-5 years spent in the brand, media company or media agency space
- Extensive knowledge of marketing, advertising, and media planning principles with a solid understanding of both traditional & digital media channels
- Broader Marketing experience across all marketing and media channels is an advantage
- You have a deep knowledge of African culture and music
- You are creative and have your pulse on social media trends and tech innovations
- Strong analytical skills. Experienced in working with ad-tech tools is an advantage
- You have knowledge of and experience in handling paid media on social platforms
- You are an excellent teammate and always have a positive and humble demeanor
- You are a self-learner and are comfortable with constantly evolving environments and challenging goals
- You are well organized, dedicated, with the ability to plan and deliver and pay attention to detail
- You are adept at analyzing and interpreting data and using it to set goals
- You have experience working on cross-functional teams and balancing multiple partners
- You have international experience, understanding of cultural diversity & trends, and deep knowledge of Sub Saharan African markets
- A high level of written and spoken English
