Our client who specializes in manufacturing and packing medicines for various South African companies currently has an opportunity for a Dispensary Supervisor to join their team.
The successful incumbent will ideally hold a Pharmacist Assistant qualification, but the main criteria is having over two years’ experience in a dispensary as well as someone who has strong people skills. There are 5 dispensary cubicles that would need to be supervised and requires someone willing to day shifts and night shifts.
**Position details**:
Ensure that cubicles are loaded according to the daily plan.
On completion of the weighing process, cross check that all Raw Materials have been weighed out correctly according to said requirements.
Ensure that Planning and Logistics as well as Production are kept up to date with progress of plan.
Ensure that cubicle and equipment is clean and sanitized ready for the next product.
Ensure that all weighing utensils are cleaned correctly and are stored according to procedure.
Ensure that the Dispensary Operator inform the Dispensary Supervisor of any out of specifications or other problems.
Ensure that all bags and containers are resealed securely prior to returning them to the warehouse.
Ensure that cubicle and equipment is clean and sanitized ready for the next product.
Ensure all documentation is correct, complete and has been audited.
Ensure that suitable equipment and techniques are utilized in the dispensing process.
Ensure that daily temperature and humidity readings are recorded on log sheets according to procedure.
Assist with issuing empty capsule orders.
Assist with keeping the factory clean where possible according to procedures.
Ensure departmental SOPs are updated.
Ensure Weighers work is checked and signed off.
Assist with functions of Dispensary Weigher should the need arise.
Enforce discipline and team work.
Create a training matrix for new employees and those who already work in the Dispensary.
Ensure that staff members in the Dispensary are trained in the relevant SOPS and GMP.
Ensure that all completed batches are posted on the Syspro system timeously.

Job Qualification & Experience:
Pharmacist Assistant qualification - advantageous.
2 years’ experience in a dispensary.
Strong people skills.
