Job Summary: Cape Tour Guides, a leading tour operator in Cape Town, is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Tour Guides to join our team on a contractor basis. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for providing memorable and informative tours to visitors, showcasing the beauty and attractions of Cape Town. This is a seasonal position, and the workload will depend on the seasonality and bookings.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct guided tours of Cape Town's popular attractions, including Table Mountain, Robben Island, Cape Point, Winelands, and other significant landmarks.
- Provide comprehensive and engaging commentary on the history, culture, and natural wonders of Cape Town.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of tour participants throughout the tour.
- Answer questions and provide recommendations to enhance visitors' experience.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.
- Adhere to the tour schedule and ensure timely departures and arrivals.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as ticketing, check-ins, and record-keeping.
- Stay updated with current events, attractions, and changes in the tourism industry.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Tour Guide in Cape Town or a similar destination.
- In-depth knowledge of Cape Town's history, culture, and attractions.
- Excellent verbal communication and public speaking skills.
- Proficiency in English (additional language skills are a plus).
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle groups of various sizes and ages.
- Flexibility to work on a seasonal and contractor basis.
- Availability to work on weekends, public holidays, and during peak tourist seasons.
- First Aid and CPR certification is desirable.
