**Main Purpose of the Job**:
The Merchandiser will be responsible for managing and maintaining an effective and efficient merchandising service in-store. This includes the execution of all in-store POP (Point of Purchase) operational objectives, ensuring adherence to merchandising principles, guidelines, and objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Execute in-store merchandising principles as per the monthly operational plans and category layouts.

Implement and execute promotional in-store POP merchandising objectives by channel, customer, and category.

Follow the in-store procedures, known as “Steps of a Call.”

Ensure compliance with the principal’s WHO CODE for in-store merchandising.

Report any issues related to overstocks, short-dated stock, damages, or out-of-stock situations to the Sales Representative.

Assist in improving the handling of bad goods/returns in-store by proposing solutions.

Communicate success stories and in-store merchandising issues to the Sales Representative.

Assist with contingency plans and support the strike team with in-store merchandising displays, category layouts, and planograms.

Maintain and enhance our public image by adhering to professional standards, behavior, and company dress code.

Ensure effective communication and maintain beneficial relationships with customers, sales teams, and merchandising supervisors.

Comply with all customer security regulations and company policies.

**Skills & Competencies**:
Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to execute merchandising plans and objectives.

Negotiation and influencing abilities.

Basic knowledge of retail grocery/FMCG channels.

Attention to detail, punctuality, and trustworthiness.

Ability to follow instructions and work within company guidelines.

**Qualifications**:
At least 1 year of merchandising experience.

Completed matric qualification.

Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

High level of attention to detail.

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:

- Merchandising: 1 year (required)
