Operations Manager - Rigging & Heavy Lifting

**Job Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and oversee all day-to-day operational activities of the Germiston branch.
- Plan and allocate resources, vehicles, and manpower for scheduled jobs.
- Ensure timely and safe execution of rigging, lifting, and transport projects.
- Maintain strong communication with clients before, during, and after projects.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and pre-job planning.
- Drive operational efficiency while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
- Lead, coach, and mentor operational teams, ensuring accountability and performance.
- Work closely with internal departments (Sales, Safety, Admin, and Finance) to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain accurate records of jobs, timesheets, costings, and documentation.
- Respond promptly to any on-site issues or emergencies.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in an operations or site management role (preferably in rigging, construction, logistics, or transport).
- Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent understanding of health, safety, and legal requirements related to rigging and lifting operations.
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and deadlines under pressure.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office, job scheduling systems, etc.).
- Valid driver’s licence (Code 08 or higher) is essential.

**Work Schedule**
- This is **not a standard 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM job**.
- Operational demands may require **early mornings, after-hours, weekends, and public holiday availability**.
- The role involves **on-site visits** and **field support** when necessary.
