The Lodge Manager will be responsible for creating exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational efficiency, and maximising lodge profitability.
**This includes**:
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and inspire all department heads and staff to achieve operational goals.
Drive a culture of excellence, high staff morale, and guest satisfaction.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
Guest Service & Satisfaction
Ensure the lodge consistently exceeds guest expectations in line with brand standards.
Monitor guest feedback and take proactive steps to resolve issues.
Implement guest service improvement plans where necessary.
Operational Excellence
Oversee daily lodge operations across all departments.
Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for efficiency and consistency.
Control costs while ensuring profitability.
Revenue & Profitability
Drive revenue through sales, marketing initiatives, and yield management.
Collaborate with finance on budgets, forecasts, and performance tracking.
Compliance & Safety
Maintain health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times.
Conduct regular audits and staff training on safety protocols.
Strategic Planning
Contribute to the lodge’s business plan and strategic objectives.
Provide operational reports and updates to senior leadership.
Matric / Grade 12
Hospitality or Tourism tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6 or higher)
Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a luxury game lodge
Minimum 10 years’ operational management experience in hospitality
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and commercial acumen
Guest-centric mindset with a passion for exceptional service
Ability to innovate, adapt, and drive change
Between 5 - 7 Years
