**JOB PURPOSE**:
The Revenue Consultant: Billing & Journals will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes, which are critical

to municipal revenue generation. This role involves day-to-day revenue operations, contractor monitoring, data analysis, and reporting

to support effective revenue management. The consultant will work in alignment with Ntiyiso Consulting’s operational excellence

standards, procedural compliance, and customer experience expectations.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Billing, Invoicing and Prepaid_
- Provide operational support to the Revenue Department as needed.
- Adhere to management and council resolutions, internal controls, policies, and by-laws as regulated by local government
- Legislation._
- Process monthly billing of debtor accounts and prepare billing reports.
- Perform property reconciliations on the General Valuation Roll (GVR) and Supplementary Valuation Roll (SVR).
- Implement the Supplementary Valuation Roll.
- Handle queries related to property rates and consumer accounts.
- Monitor and manage the improvement of municipal debt recovery.
- Act as a liaison between the client and contractors.
- Prepare statement batches (invoices for customers).
- Journals:_
- Prepare debit/credit note adjustments.
- Process bulk imports on the system.
- Allocate direct deposits (payment allocations).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in billing for property rates or related financial fields.
- Proficiency in financial systems and software, such as SAP and/or municipal financial systems.
- Management consulting experience is an added advantage.
- Experience in projects within local government will be an advantage.
