**CNC Operation**:

- Interpret blueprint, drawings, and measurements to plan machining of work pieces
- Turning and Milling Machines
- Stop machine to load and unload workpieces, change tooling or setup according to required machining sequences
- Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine control to ensure that the machine run efficiently.
- Properly and safely loads and unloads work pieces in CNC machinery
- Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specification using measuring and inspection tools as necessary.
- Understand, deploy, and properly use inserts and tooling
- Performa daily machine start-up checks and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery
- Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration
- Participate in the development of new fixtures
- Ensuring correct gauges/checking fixtures and measuring equipment are available for each process as well as setting up a bin system to optimise change over times.
- Responsible for CNC Tool Store (machine tool consumption - availability of inserts, cutters and tooling).
- Monitoring daily output in cell (100% minimum requirement) by ensuring that machines run to correct cycle standard times.
- Ensuring high quality parts are manufactured at all times.
- Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Setup charts for all components manufactured in CNC.
- Assisting in the training of Operators to set CNC Machines.
- Operating Machines when required.
- Performing detailed quality checks on all ‘First-Off’ at the start of a production run and ‘Last-Off’ parts at the production of each production run.
- Ensure recording of in
- process rejects.
- Alert CNC Supervisor of quality issues and where necessary stop production on machines immediately to avoid further rejects.
