Responsible for operationalising the ERM strategy, supporting business units in ensuring that risk management is embedded across the organisation, in protecting, creating and maximizing value to the organisation. The position also champions the efforts to build the institutional capability required to address current priorities and future challenges in the areas of Risk management and Business Continuity.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide input into the development and maintenance of organisation enterprise risk management, business continuity, project and insurance governance frameworks, standards and practices and effectively implement them throughout the organisation.
- Provide input and recommendations to the development of the enterprise risk management strategy.
- Develop and implement ERM operational plans that are aligned to the ERM strategic intent.
- Provide input in relation to integration of the enterprise risk management framework with organisation strategy formulation and business/ operational planning.
- Provide input to the continuous improvement and implementation of the ERM Framework which identifies risks across the organisation.
- Identifies trends and interdependencies throughout the business and facilitates conversations with various functions throughout the organisation to ensure alignment and consistency in the management of risks.
- Monitors risk management industry trends and best practices to ensure the organisation remains on the leading edge of identifying and managing all types of emerging risks.
- Management of Operational mandate of enterprise risk management
- Partner with the business to ensure operational risk management activities are in line with the organisation's ERM framework/ program
- Facilitate the identification, assessment and prioritisation of risks for the organisation, including monitoring and analyzing risks and risk trends followed by the development of control mitigation within each business unit.
- Review and analyse the risk registers to identify interrelated risks that are independently captured, multiple risks impacting single functions, trends, etc.
- Ensure risk mitigation plans are developed by responsible parties and identify and report where these are not tracking to plan.
- Analyse risk information (incidents, root cause, losses, scenarios, external events etc.) to identify potential new risks, risk trends and other useful management information.
- Lead the development of business unit tolerance levels and key risk indicators to be consolidated at an organisation-wide level.
- Facilitate regular meetings with senior leaders to help their teams systematically identify, analyze and evaluate key risks (threats and opportunities).
- Accumulate data, maintain records and prepare reports on the administration of ERM projects and other assigned activities.
- Engage with responsible decision-makers at Senior Leadership level, build effective relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Create, promote and maintain a culture of risk awareness and accountably in business through appropriate forums, communications and education.
- Use a range of resources and tools to analyze management information helping leadership improve risk-based decision making.
- Identify commercial opportunities that may present during risk identification and analysis.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and implementation of the ERM governance structures, policies, procedures and processes.
- Lead and set direction for Risk Rockstar network to ensure ERM is deployed and active in all businesses and function.
- Provide input in the development of tools, practices, and policies to analyze, manage, and report risks according to the ERM framework.
- Provide ongoing monitoring support for the management of risks through effective and pragmatic challenge to the business units.
- Conduct research on industry leading practices for risk governance matters pertaining to the telecommunications industry including board practices relating to risk governance.
