Company Description

An Environmental Consulting company is in search of an Environmental Control Officer (ECO) to be based at Kusile Power Station.

**Job Description**:

- Ensure the implementation by the contractor of the project Environmental Authorisation, Environmental Management Program, Water Use General
- Authorisation, Threatened or Protected Species removal permit and landowners conditions;
- Review the Environmental Management Programme and Environmental Authorisation and compile of site specific checklists and registers;
- Conducting on-site environmental audits and the preparation of written reports on the results of the audits
- Preparing and conducting environmental inductions for contractor management;
- Generation of weekly and monthly reports to various authorities
- Attend and report back findings at monthly site progress meetings
- Writing project environmental Close-out Reports.

In general
- An ability to travel is an essential requirement of the job;
- Administrative functions to the extent determined by the relevant position.

**Qualifications**:

- Qualification - minimum degree in environmental management
- Professional Registration - SACNASP would be an advantage but not a requirement.
- Experience - a minimum of 3 to 5 years, experience in a Substation project ECO work is important, preferably experience at Eskom.
- Must reside in a close proximity to Kusile Power Station

**Salary**: R20 000 - R25 000 per month
