**Job spec: ERM Senior Consultant**

**Job description**:
An ERM Senior consultant who works closely with our practice leaders, management, senior consultants and our clients to develop risk management methodologies that leverage industry leading practices and standards. The consultant will assist with risk management delivery on consulting projects. The ERM consultant must have an enthusiastic and client-facing personality, who can adapt in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement the Marsh Enterprise Risk Management methodology.
- Business development : identify and seek enterprise risk management initiatives in relevant external organizations thus creating a pipeline for opportunities;
- Prioritize and manage multiple enterprise risk management opportunities and projects through to their timely completion as required;
- Manage the Enterprise risk management team through execution and delivery of projects
- Participate in the design and execution of risk management projects, with tasks ranging from identifying, assessing, measuring, implementing, and enhancing the risk culture of clients.
- Plan and conduct regular reviews of risk exposure in compliance with the risk management policy and industry best practice.
- Review risk frameworks, policies and practices; benchmark these against industry and professional body best practices e.g. ISO31000 and COSO 2018.
- Review Strategic and Operational risk profiles and tolerance levels annually, and quarterly where appropriate.
- Plan and facilitate risk reviews and develop effective risk review processes.
- Gather and analyse risk data to support decisions in risk management and other processes
- Prepare risk reports and analysis to stakeholders (Audit and Risk Committee and Management Team)
- Have knowledge about business processes, be able to identify weaknesses in the control environment and recommend best practice solutions.
- Produce monthly progress reports.
- Collaborate across the Marsh Advisory (global and regional) community and provide expert input and contributions where necessary;

**Qualifications**:
Degree/BTech or National Diploma in Risk Management, Business, IT or any Finance related discipline.

Experience in writing risk management frameworks, policies, processes and procedural documents.

**Advantageous**:

- CRMA - certified risk manager
- CIA - certified internal auditor

**Preferred**:

- Prior experience in executing client projects is essential.
- Use of risk management tools is advantageous, e.g. CURA/Barnowl (although not limited to the mentioned tools)
