**Pre-requisites**

Must have a matric/Grade 12/or equivalent with **MATHS**.

Must have own transport and a valid drivers license.

Must have at least 2 years appropriate sales experience.

Must be able to communicate very well in English and get by in Afrikaans.

**Responsibilities**
- Service the various market segments with appropriate and effective sales approaches and marketing support material to ensure that Power Plastics builds and grows its customer base over and above competitor products.
- Ensure that all end user customer enquiries are followed up and make sure that the enquiries come to fruition, advise and recommend which products to use, close the sale, ensure that the product complies with customer specification and follow up on installations and ensure that the goods are paid for on a COD basis. Ensure that the company offers good after sales service by following up on sales after installation.
- Manage the feedback from the customer and take corrective action. Be aware of where we need to comply with the Customer Protection Act and how legislation affects our business.
- Promote PowerPlastic Pool Covers at all relevant consumer shows.
- Use all Power Plastics promotional tools to their greatest advantage. Effectively use shows, direct mailings, newsletters; brochures to enhance our sales reach.
- Ensure that the required targets (Rands, number of covers, conversion ratio’s etc) of pool covers are sold each month/week.
- Ensure that the company brand image is constantly maintained and positively promoted
- Ensure that PowerPlastics Pool Covers gets asked to quote on all covers installed and that we compete well with our competitors.
- Ensure that you are up-to-date with all safety legislation in and around pools and that we develop and maintain a referral base for those interested in safety around the pool. Good use of TopStep.co.za.
- Lead the company in terms of focusing the organization on becoming more aware of customer needs and concerns and bring about change in terms of customer centricity within the organization.
- Assist with resolving customer complaints and snags.

**Daily activities**

Visit and communicate with pool industry, property developers and architects as agreed with Operations Manager and General Manager. Close sales directly with customers, follow up on sales contacts and past sales. Use marketing techniques to expand Power Plastics prevalence within the market.

**Reporting**

The sales consultant works closely within the Internal Sales and distribution team. Report to the Branch Manager.

**Salary**

Competitive basic salary in conjunction with a appealing commission structure.
