Managing and leading the CIB Finance Product Control 1st line of defense (1LOD) Governance team for the Global Markets; Treasury; Global Finance and Transactional Banking business units. A 1LOD team mandate is that of risk ownership and management. The role also encompasses performing assurance activities to enable and ensure the establishment and maintenance of a robust control environment.

**Job Description**:
As a People Manager
- Defining, maintaining and updating Policies and Standards applicable to Product Control
- Attendance of risk and control forums to contribute; present; guide and discuss matters pertaining to risk and controls on behalf of CIB Finance Product Control
- Attendance of business control meetings to identify risk items and provide the necessary challenge and monitoring of remedial efforts
- Performing duties of a First Line of Defense team and executing the evaluation; monitoring and testing of controls - this also evolves to responding to and/or identifying control gaps
- Understanding the end to end process flows and activity in the areas we look after so we play an advisory role and guide accordingly on risk management practice and in general best practice
- Engaging business and other assurance partners to gather means to identify and manage emerging risks; gaps in the current control landscape
- Facilitating Product Control specific policy and process training; driving the Finance Academy Training across CIB ARO Finance

Education

Postgraduate Degrees and Professional Qualifications: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
