Role: Wine Tasting Manager
Type: Full-time
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Leadership and Management: Lead a team of tasting room assistants, ensuring a high level of customer service and a memorable tasting experience for our visitors.
- Educate and Engage: Conduct wine tastings and educate guests on our wine varieties, production techniques, and the unique terroir of Benguela Cove.
- Event Management: Organize and oversee wine-related events, workshops, and promotions.
- Inventory Management: Manage the wine stock for the tasting room, ensuring optimal stock levels and proper storage conditions.
- Sales: Drive sales of wines.
- Feedback Analysis: Collect and analyze customer feedback to continuously refine the tasting experience and improve service levels.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the winemaking team, marketing, and sales departments to align strategies and promote brand consistency.
**Requirements**:
- A passion for wine and a thorough understanding of the wine industry.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably at a wine estate or luxury hospitality setting.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal communication, with the ability to engage audiences of varying sizes.
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic inventory management.
- WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
