As Wine Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations and ensuring that guests enjoy exceptional service paired with an outstanding wine selection. Your duties will include:
Leading, training, and motivating front-of-house staff.
Managing wine inventory, supplier relationships, and ordering.
Assisting in curating a compelling wine list in collaboration with ownership and sommeliers.
Ensuring smooth daily service, from opening procedures to closing checks.
Implementing and monitoring service standards to create a warm, professional, and welcoming atmosphere.
Handling reservations, guest feedback, and operational administration.
3+ years’ management or supervisory experience in a wine bar, restaurant, or luxury hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of South African and international wines.
Excellent leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
A wine qualification such as WSET or Cape Wine Academy will be advantageous.
