**Purpose of Role**:
The Manager of Strategic Partnerships, Communications, and Advocacy will support the Head of Department in leading the development and implementation of AGGP_SA's strategic partnerships, communications, and advocacy initiatives. The role will require a strong understanding of the organisation's mission, values, and goals, and the ability to develop and execute strategies that align with these. This role will support the organisations growth through the proactive management of strategic partnerships, the development and delivery of advocacy positions and will thus help build the profile of AGGP_SA as an advocate for evidence informed entrepreneurship as an enabling factor in building an entrepreneurial society.

**Objectives of Role**:

- Identify and develop specific advocacy and policy issues for Allan & Gill Gray Philanthropy South Africa (AGGP_SA)
- Organize meetings, prepare documentation, and ensure communication on key advocacy activities
- Identify and coordinate advocacy opportunities provided by external partners
- Develop and manage the execution of evidence informed advocacy strategies
- Provide support and training to AGGP_SA units to conduct policy dialogues with national governments
- Strengthen our in-house advocacy capabilities by developing advocacy skills building curricula and delivering training to staff
- Broaden AGGP_SA’s strategic advocacy partnerships with public and private sector leaders and institutions, influencers, media
- Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of annual work plans and budgeting for all our advocacy programs and initiatives
- Effectively drive program management activities of our advocacy programs
- Expand our advocacy program portfolio through conceptualizing new programs or coalitions in line with our advocacy goals and strategy
- Support the HOD in developing and managing AGGP_SA’s strategic partnerships

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, public relations or related disciplines relevant to the position
- 6-8 year’s Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategies that align with organizational goals
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in policy development and advocacy
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners
- Strong analytical and research skills
