As a Costing Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering and analysing data to accurately estimate the costs, time, materials, and labor required to complete jobs and deliver services.

Your expertise will ensure that gross margins are correctly calculated, enabling effective budgeting and financial forecasting.

By providing precise and realistic cost estimates, you will play a vital role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with organisational goals.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- To maximise the profitability of jobs through a thorough review of the estimated costs and by accurately pricing Customer jobs
- To scrutinize supplier invoice discrepancies, identify the root causes, take corrective actions to resolve matters, and report the findings to the business
- To raise Customer invoices in a timely manner
- Identifying and quantifying all cost factors involved.
- Using computer software to calculate cost estimates
- Use detailed spreadsheets and company-approved formulas to calculate the projected costs of proposed projects
- Ensure all jobs are accurately priced, according to the relevant tariffs, in a timely manner
- Review the Gross Margin of individual jobs and consider the possible actions for any that are low margin to maximize profitability
- Prepare monthly supporting documents for VAT audits
- Ensure VAT supporting documents are submitted timeously to the auditors

**In addition, you will demonstrate these key competencies**:

- Excellent customer service ethic and experience of building positive working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers
- Demonstrated experience of multi-tasking and managing competing business demands
- Numerical proficiency and strong attention to detail
- Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel and Word - able to use standard formulas and analyses and present data using pivot tables, graphs and interested in developing these skills further
- Strong commercial awareness and able to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities

**Please note this is a full time role, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:30 based at our office in Kempton Park**
