We have new, exciting opportunity in Cape Town for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Senior Traffic Manager to oversee the in-house creative studio at a well-loved, popular South African restaurant chain.
As the project coordinator for creative projects, the Senior Traffic Manager will compile and update status reports and project timelines, which are distributed to designers, local store agents, brand managers and other team members on a weekly basis with daily check-ins on projects. You will serve as the point person for any questions regarding project workflow, client submissions and final billing.
**Responsibilities**:
- Management of deadlines
- Ensuring that the creative team has clarity on job requirements prior to commencing the project
- Managing workload and ensuring jobs are delivered to relevant parties on time
- Consideration to accommodate, prioritise and coordinate fast tracked jobs
- Responsible for the administration function of the group’s workflow management system; Magnetic
- Reviewing output performance and sending out productivity, income, and creative output reports on a monthly basis
- Supporting the Creative Team Leads (CTLs) to work out the human and material resources needed to complete projects
- Liaising among different departments, e.g., designers, suppliers, brand managers, etc.
- Ensuring that creative guidelines are followed
- Supporting and motivating the creative team to sustain high levels of productivity
- Identifying any potential training needs.
- Take responsibility for the quality of their output by consulting as and when required
- Work with other staff from the design team and brand team to develop concepts ready for client presentation
- Use analytical skills to interpret briefs and make accurate decisions to allocate the project accordingly
- Communicate effectively and accurately, both orally and in writing, to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain effective high standards of output across the Brand Family
- Maintain an archiving and cataloguing process of all material worked on for others to easily access
- Strong ability to analyse and problem solve within Studio capacity
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines and take responsibility for timelines of agreed deliverables (own and subordinates)
- Strict adherence to company philosophy, mission statement, vision, and values
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with management and subordinates.
**Requirements**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- 6 - 7+ years Traffic experience in the Industry (Advertising/Marketing)
- 3 years of experience on Magnetic or similar workflow management systems
- 5+ years Traffic Administration
- Strong computer skills are essential
- Knowledge of data management and project management tools are highly advantageous
- Strong leadership skills are advantageous
- Full understanding of roles and functions of a marketing team in order to lend overall support in the effective everyday functioning of a studio
- Experience in in Advertising Agency/Marketing environments hugely advantageous
- A good understanding of interpersonal relationships to navigate conflict management and team dynamics
- Negotiating and conflict management skills essential
