**POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT**:
**INMED Aquaponics®Social Enterprise (INMED ASE)**

**Position**:Business Manager

**Location**:Johannesburg area

The Business Manager for the INMED ASE South Africa reports directly to INMED’s South Africa Director. There also will be reporting and virtual meeting responsibilities with the INMED Partnerships for Children Management Team overseeing the INMED ASE globally.

**Primary Responsibilities**:TheBusiness Manager will be responsible principally for the financial success and sustainability of the INMED ASE. Primary responsibilities include:

- Overseeing the activities of the INMED ASE team to assure productivity and efficiency
- Build markets and secure contracts for INMED ASE lines of business, especially for its fresh aquaponics produce and other lines of business including related sales and training and technical services.
- Develop and manage the distribution channels for the IASE produce in targeted locations/markets leveraging strengths of the IASE hub and spoke model.
- Prepare and maintain records/reports on fresh produce sales and other related lines of business, updating and uploading at least weekly as accounts and sales evolve, with more formal monthly and quarterly reports.
- Develop with the INMED communications team strategies for marketing the social enterprise solutions to the public, farmers, and retail and hospitality sectors.
- Work with INMED’s communications team to promote the INMED ASE story, products and services to clients and the general public.
- Maintain sound customer relations with all clients of the IASE and provide regular market feedback.
- Be an outstanding external spokesperson for the organization, its values, purpose, and products.

**Requirements**:

- Business Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or equivalent.
- Previous successful experience in new business development, preferably in the agriculture/fresh food sector.
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills, including planning for, organizing and controlling organizational resources as well as preparing for and managing organizational change as necessary in the current climate of fast-paced change
- Financial intelligence, including the ability to collect, evaluate, analyse and interpret financial data, and use it to inform business decisions.
- The ability to interpret how information technology affects business operations, and to utilize business technologies to improve the success of the enterprise.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well and creativity and innovation skills.
- Is an independent worker and strategic thinker and at the same time a team player with high level of interactions internally and externally.
- Demonstratable fluency in key work tools such as Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and people skills, and is self-motivated and reliable.
- Unendorsed driver’s license with own reliable vehicle.
- Necessary documentation to work in South Africa

**Salary**:Commensurate with experience and track record.
