Turner Machinist

**Key Purpose**

To produce or repair precision parts using manual equipment and accurate measurements - Conventional Lathe Specialist.

**Responsibilities**
- Set-up the equipment as per the specifications of the job
- Reading blueprints, schematics and other documentation
- Measuring components to ensure accurate fit of manufactured components
- Turning accuracy to within 0.01 mm
- Highly experienced on a Conventional Lathe
- General Drilling, Milling and Grinding
- Ability to work on a variety of machines

**Qualifications / Experience**
- N3 National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering an advantage
- Turner Trade Test (or related Machinist/Tooling) an advantage
- Experienced Turner Machinist = minimum 5 Years experience within a similar environment
- Servicing the steel industry previously as a Turner Machinist is preferable

**Experience**:

- Turning : 5 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Turner Trade Test (preferred)
