Technology Manager

**Overview**:
The Technical Manager (PMC) provides technical support and services to the internal and external customers, in support of technologies and processes to enhance the business market share. This role further supports principal management relationships by analyzing market insights gathered by commercial team to determine technical requirements and support at both internal and external customers.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum BEng (Chemical or Metallurgical)

**Experience**:

- Minimum 8 years work experience in the mining industry
- At least 6 in a management position

**Duties**:

- Conduct and oversee test work campaigns, interpret and report on results to assist sales effort.
- Requirement to travel into Africa for periods of a week or more, with up to 25% of the time spent travelling.
- Production plant manager, with operations manager reporting into this position.
- Management of analytical and metallurgical labs and personnel.
- Manage customer and supplier relationships and provide technical assistance in support of the sales effort.
- Develop and test new products, technologies and services.
- Develop and implement strategy
- Provide required training to staff and customers
- Legal appointment 16(2) of OSHA
- Budgetary control for technical and operations
- Provide technical assistance to the business and customers

**Job Competencies**:

- Detailed understanding of extractive metallurgy process, including flotation and hydrometallurgy, over a wide range of minerals including Gold, PGM, Copper, Cobalt, Uranium, as well as other metals. Process include milling, solid liquid separation, flotation, pyrometallurgy, solvent extraction, electrowinning, and excellent experience in gold CIL is required.
