**Site Agent, Gauteng, Job-3523**

A large-scale competitive construction and engineering company have an aim of providing more job opportunities and economic stability throughout Africa. They currently have an opportunity for a Site Agent to manage a massive water-related construction project. Contribute towards meeting South Africa's water needs by joining and assisting with the management of these substantial projects.

**Position details**:
Type: Contract
Travel requirements: Travel to project sites.

Job description / core competencies:
Manage a Construction Site. Ensure Quality production. Ensure safety regulations are adhered to. Ensure the construction is done on time and on budget. Prepare cost reports. Overall responsibility for the site and legal compliance. Attend and run site meetings. Oversee all daily construction activities on the site, ensuring all policies and procedures are correctly followed. Will have to manage and guide a construction site team. Develop processes that will maximise stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity at the construction site. Recognise trends and anomalies in the construction project process data. Maintain strict health & safety standards. Understand current project status and perform gap analysis on project requirements, procured and installed equipment and outstanding works. Ensure all design developments and scope changes are properly costed and planned for presentation to Project Management.

**Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:
Qualifications: BTech/BSc/BEng Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Experience: 5 to 7 years’ experience in a Site Agent role or similar.

**Skills**:

- Must have extensive career background in construction and infrastructure.
- Possess excellent verbal and writing skills.
- Be able to travel to site when required.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Technical report writing & progress report writing skills.
- Must be computer literate and be able to use Microsoft Office programs.
- Prior experience with Concrete Dams and earthworks.
- Must be confident, decisive, possess leadership qualities and highly adaptable.
- Detail focused time, stress, and health management planning, organising, and scheduling.
