**Objectives of this role**:

- Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times.
- Raise the bar continually for writing fresh copy that connects with a desired audience and drives action.
- Be adept at varying the voice, style, and other characteristics of messaging based on the industry, company, and target audience.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communications
- and client-related industry trends.
- Stay current on the appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistent messaging.

**Responsibilities**:

- Write, edit and publish engaging posts for various social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
- Edit and proof work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs.
- Optimize social media posts (language, tone, message) based on our target audience’s behaviours.
- Update our social media pages with compelling company news.
- Coordinate with internal teams to create advertising posts (e.g. for webinars, open roles, sales campaigns)
- Collaborate with creative, sales, and recruitment to assess project needs and help with messaging.
- Drive brand consistency across all company communications
- Develop and implement brand guidelines
- Stay current on trends and competitors within the editorial sphere
- See projects through the whole creative lifestyle, from inception to deployment
- Track and report on social media insights (traffic, engagement, shares, conversion rates)
- Respond to questions and comments on our social media pages in a timely and accurate manner
- Network with clients and industry professionals

**Requirements and skills**:

- BSc in Marketing, Communications or relevant field
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Copywriter or similar role
- Hands-on experience using various social media platforms to advertise
- Experience with content management systems
- Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
- Familiarity with paid Facebook Ad campaigns.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides
- Strong creative thinking skills and ability to think conceptually
- Comfortable working independently with little direction under tight deadlines
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar
- Proven ability to demonstrate brand voice
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent portfolio of work

**Hardware Requirements**:

- Own computer or laptop.
- ADSL/ FIBRE internet line.
- Headphones for use with our VOIP phone system.
- Anti-virus installed.
- UPS/Back-up Battery for load shedding

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: R9,000.00 per month
