**Requirements**:
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary.
- Prior experience in an old age home will be an advantage.
- Willingness to work shifts (day and night) in accordance with the requirements of the home.
- Ability to identify, prevent and report medico-legal risks and adverse events within the home.
- Basic knowledge of stock control principles.
- Basic knowledge of infection control and occupational health principles.
- Knowledge of the Scientific Nursing Process (documentation).
- Sound knowledge of nursing activities and procedures as per scope of practice.
- Must be a team player with good communication skills.
- Be able to render care to the elderly in a compassionate manner.
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversees careworking team.
- Assists residents in washing, dressing, toiletry activities, and general mobility.
- Changes bed linen, makes beds, and tidies rooms.
- Assists in the distribution of medication to residents.
