**TOPS MANAGER**

**WATERLOO, VERULAM**

Our well-known liquor store based in Verulam is looking for a dynamic individual to manger and drive the store.
- **Purpose**:_ Oversee the daily operations of the store and ensure smooth and effective running. Maintain constant and effective contact with customers and staff and ensure great customer experiences and monitor the financial performance of the store.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.
- Reviewing GP reports and determining promotions to drive sales.
- Conducts analysis on stock take, ranking and sales reports
- Checks and authorizes invoices and timesheets; conduct daily analysis of spreadsheets
- Oversees the store’s profitability by ensuring increased sales, GP’s are achieved and sales targets are met.

**STAFF MANAGEMENT**
- Maintains store staff by training and guiding employees.
- Maintains operations by maintaining company policies and procedures.
- Contributes to team effort by motivating and driving high morale for efficient staff

**STOCK**
- Complete management of stock control; determine quantities for purchasing, negotiate on pricing. Ensure stock levels are maintained and are at optimum levels. Ensure that no expired stock is on hand,

**SAFETY AND SECURITY**
- Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
- Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
- Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.

**Competencies**
- Enthusiastic and dynamic team leader
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership and customer management abilities.
- Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes.

**Experience**
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a managerial position in a retail environment.
- Computer proficient
- Experience in the liquor retail environment will be advantageous.

**Qualification**
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- A qualification in Business Management/Administration will be advantageous.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R10,000.00 - R14,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Verulam, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
