Climate Fund Manager’s (CFM) is a leading blended finance fund manager dedicated to securing a sustainable future by investing across global emerging markets. CFM has a long-term vision to structure cutting edge financing facilities around thematic areas of climate change mitigation and adaptation, including renewable energy, water, sanitation, and oceans. CFM is established as a joint venture between the Dutch development bank FMO and Sanlam InfraWorks - part of the Sanlam Group of South Africa.

We provide financing solutions across the entire project lifecycle (development, construction, and operational stages). With our offices in The Netherlands, South Africa, Singapore, and Latin America we believe in a world where sustainable investing and profitability are not mutually exclusive.

The Governance Team is seeking a Business Science or BCom Hons Graduate to join their team. The role will be based in CFM’s Claremont (Western Cape) office and may require periodic travel to CFM regional offices.

The primary focus of the position is work closely with the Chief Financial and Risk Officer to create a sustainable risk management culture within the organisation that strengthens the lines of defense.

**Responsibilities**

Control self-assessment (“CSA”) administration
- Engaging with internal teams in a professional and collaborative manner to identify, manage, measure and report risks and controls
- Ensuring all action plans based on the CSA’s are attended to timeously and agreed action plan timelines
- Continual review and development of the risk mitigating controls and procedures

Incident reporting management
- Ensuring the incident management process is followed per incident
- Ensuring all action plans items are met in agreed timelines

Risk reporting preparation
- Prepare the risk reports; such as, report distribution to depositary, regulatory, governance, and so on.
- Prepare risk report for the Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee

Depositary management
- Ensure timely submission to depositary, by gathering information from operating units

Risk software
- Manage relationship with the software solution provider and ensure delivery of approved projects

**Qualifying Criteria***:
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Business Science, or, BCom Hons with specialisation in accounting or investment management, preferred
- Additional qualifications such as CFA and/or Financial Risk Management, an advantage
- Graduate with some relevant work experience
- Self-starter
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Understanding of risk monitoring and management in Private Equity Funds and Manager
- Microsoft Excel proficiency, and an ability to interrogate and sort data is essential
- Strong communications skills to engage at all levels and develop internal and external business relationships
- Problem solving
- Quickly understand business issues and data challenges in order to develop solutions
- Detail oriented, and able to identify shortcomings in processes and procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure and ongoing re-prioritising of multiple tasks, with proven planning and organisation skills
- High personal drive, resilient and possessing an uncompromising ethical standard
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- An ability to work within a team as well as independently
- Good knowledge of MS Office suite
