Arena Holdings is looking for a Head of Audience Development reporting into the Group CEO to acquire, build and retain audiences across Arena Group platforms and to connect the various functions within the business to develop a cohesive strategy which builds brand memberships.

Responsibilities of this Role

To acquire and retain audiences across platforms, both media and entertainment

To manage the entire audience journey across all engagement points (portfolios, platforms and brands)

To increase acquisition, retention, and overall subscription revenue, for all products across the group

To develop and implement the audience development strategy, membership strategy, loyalty strategy, and improve engagement with customers throughout the product lifecycle

Ensures that all customer-related processes, systems and services are optimised to facilitate the best possible audience experience

Improve audience experience and lifetime value across all platforms

To ensure customer satisfaction is prioritised at all touchpoints and to be the key custodian of the customer relationship model

To influence our ability to increase advertising revenue through audience monetisation

To work with the required business unit heads to facilitate the successful implementation of plans for audience development, memberships, clubs and loyalty programs

Plans, monitors and executes print and digital subscription strategies

To identify and develop plans to reach and convert new subscribers

Manage budgets and P&L

Develop and utilize pricing and forecasting models

To expand on existing customer databases, managing, analysing and reporting on these to EXCO and senior management teams

To develop and monitor new campaigns and promotions

Assists with the design of marketing strategies to increase audience acquisition and retention

To identify leading global and local subscription practices and successfully implements well-tested tactics

Mines existing group sales data to identify insights, trends and opportunities, investigates and analyzes customer data to identify ways to improve audience usage, both physical and digital

Manages and researches customer needs to inform quality content development

Explore and identify e-commerce opportunities for the group

Skills and qualifications

Postgraduate Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or comparable work experience

Passionate about connecting people of all cultures

Track record of development of effective acquisition and retention strategies, direct marketing to audiences and audience campaign management

CRM/client relationship / subscriber management

Proven project management skills

Systemic thinker

Best practice knowledge of database management

Excellent attention to detail for written communications and materials developed

Ability to effectively and professionally interact with senior members of the organization and external suppliers

Able to manage complexity within tight time-frames

Displays a thorough understanding of the different customer segment propositions and is able to articulate clearly to customers.

Is resilient, has the ability to re-think and rebuild on existing strategies and workflow processes
