Supreme processing has an opportunity available for a Scale Technician in the Maintenance department.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Requirements**:

- Grade 12/N3
- Electrician trade qualification
- At least 3 years post qualification experience
- Experience working in the FMCG industry, preferably within a further processing plant
- HACCP knowledge
- Good organization skills
- Good planning and ability to work independently.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Adjust functional parts of scales and control instruments.
- Align and balance scales according to product specification.
- Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components of scales
- Diagnose scale problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogues as necessary.
- Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Inspect, operate, and test scales to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Maintain and repair scales.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble
- Estimate repair costs.
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Record maintenance and repair work performed
- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
- Other relevant electrical duties assigned.
