**Civil Construction Environmental Officer**
- Location: this position is national/ site-based_

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Implement and maintain Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and ensure compliance with ISO14001 standards (if applicable).
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to environmental regulations, permits and client requirements.
- Identify environmental risks, investigate and report environmental incidents and implement mitigation measures, including pollution control and habitat protection.
- Oversee site-specific waste management plans, manage water usage, stormwater control, air quality, dust control and noise levels.
- Facilitate training sessions, toolbox talks and awareness programs to promote environmental responsibility.
- Collaborate with project teams and subcontractors to integrate environmental considerations into construction activities.
- Support rehabilitation efforts to restore disturbed areas post-construction.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.- 3-5 years of experience in environmental compliance on construction sites.
