Child and Youth Care Worker

**CHILD AND YOUTH CARE CENTRE CYCW POST**

Full time position available: 3 position (male and female applicants welcome to apply)

Relief position available: 1 position

**Scope of work**:

- Hands on caring tasks around the daily functioning of the children
- Assess and respond to individual needs of the children
- Report and manage children's behaviour in line with developmental and behaviour plan for each child
- Medical care, including the constant monitoring of children's wellbeing and reporting of sick children to management
- Assist in the implementation of planned activities, recreational, developmental and therapeutic programmes
- Perform administrative tasks in line with policies
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team, working in the best interest of the child

**Minumum requirements for applicants**:

- Child and Youth Care Qualification (min NQF Level 4)
- Registration with SACSSP (2024/2025)
- Police clearance certificate
- Passion for working with children who have disabilities
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Ability to act as trusted advisor to the children
- Experience in the CYCC field would be advantageous
- 2 contactable references
