Third Party FG Execution Planner

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
The Purpose of the 3P planner is to be responsible for managing the relationship between Unilever and third parties in regards to production and inventory management. He/She will also feed information back from the third parties to the E2E planner in the hub in order to align the weekly plans.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
3P planner operational responsibilities:

- Working with 3rd party to deliver a production as planned in week 0 to 4
- Manage 3rd party by working closely to fully understand capability, capacity constraints and inventory
- Perform regular capacity checks to have a clear view on 3rd party production workload
- Liaise with 3rd party when required to manage exceptions or any other requirement coming from the Hub
- Liaise with E2E planner, Execution planner and 3rd party to achieve alignment with interim production from packaging sites
- Provide visibility to 3rd party on innovations and transitions decided by the market, within the appropriate timeframe to secure reaction and changes adoption
- Feed information back from 3rd party to the hub to make sure that any change is captured in the plan
- Escalate quality issues on RM/PM to be managed with suppliers
- Participate on the exception management process by identifying risks/opportunities on 3rd party and propose resolution actions when applicable
- Collaborate with 3P Distribution Clerk to ensure that RM/PM stock is managed appropriately. Oversee that stock levels are aligned with targets and facilitate stock movements between plants when required

Service:

- Drive integrated activities with the broader supply chain and customer teams as well as through collaboration both internally and externally to ensure customer service requirements are understood and met
- Responsible for the overall stock availability for the category for 3P specific SKUs
- Provide input on the weekly/monthly Service Review (performance vs plan, update fcst YTG) for 3P specific SKUs

Working Capital Management:

- Execute improvements on working capital recommended by L2 Inventory Optimisation Specialist including inventory holding policy change in order to meet customer service level targets
- Provide input on the weekly/monthly Working Capital Review (performance vs plan, update fcst YTG) for 3P specific SKUs
- Identify opportunities for DBNR for 3P specific SKUs to be shared via Procurement and 3P operational team

Business Waste:

- Manage and update weekly Business Waste projections for FG
- Provide input on weekly/monthly Business Waste Review (performance vs plan, update fcst YTG) for 3P SKUs
- Raise and manage provisions for FG in accordance with policy

Reporting:

- Report on losses and plans to improve in weekly Ops meetings and S&OP Supply meeting, when required
- Ensure all planning related inputs are shared for 3P SteerComms
- Drive 3P SRMs

Innovation:

- Communicate on innovation trial calendar and 5S projects to 3P
- Participate in the FCMM (factory change management meeting)

KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Operational experience in either source, plan, make or deliver: 2-4 years experience
- Strong evidence of the distinguishing competencies as outlined above
- Sound business background in order to appreciate the impact of their role within the broader business, and especially with reference on managing and meeting business targets/forecasts.
- They must be restless for excellence and must pro actively pursue opportunities for improvement and be able to take a broad base of the business with them
- Working knowledge of S&OP
- Understanding of “Make” and “Source” processes
