**Overview**

**Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Requirements**
- Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably an honours degree in HR Management or Industrial Psychology.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in HR-related functions.
- Specialist knowledge of SA Labour Legislation/ Industrial Relations.
- The ability to address employee relations professionally, consistently, fairly, and with empathy.
- Assertive and good business insight to add value in management meetings/ other business areas.
- In-depth knowledge of people management best practices.
- Knowledge of HR Information systems would be advantageous.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Providing effective and efficient people management advice and guidance to the four companies’ management on people-related matters.
- Formulate, improve, communicate and monitor value-adding People Management guidelines.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process in line with the business’s needs.
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to management and employees on Employee Relations matters.
- Ensure compliance with legislative reposting requirements related to Employment Equity and skills development.
- Liaise with external bodies such as industry associations, universities, BEE auditors, etc.
- Roll out employee engagement/ performance management systems linked to the business strategy.
- Develop and coordinate remuneration approach in line with legislation and Afrimat’s business strategy.
- Coordinate Afrimat’s retirement funds and its Board Member’s actions.
- Actively promote and oversee learning and development.
- Participate in specific HR projects and initiatives.
- Implementation of IDPs, WSP, and ATR submissions.
- Coordinate bursary and Study Assistance Schemes
