**Our client** has an exciting opportunity for a Hospital Manager to join our dynamic facility based in Cape Town that focuses on supporting, facilitating, and accelerating every patient’s road to recovery. Our approach is always patient-centric, and their unique needs, treatment complexities, and health profiles sit at the heart of everything we do

We seek an ambitious, talented, goal-driven and self-motivated individual to fulfil the role of Hospital Manager. The purpose of the position is to co-ordinate all the functions and activities related to the provision, promotion and assurance of quality of patient care, excellent service to patients, visitors and support services in a cost-effective manner as well as motivating, supporting and optimising staff performance and education so that an optimum contribution is made to the successful functioning of the unit. Furthermore, the positive interaction and relationship building with customers be it medical schemes, referring clinicians and or patients is a core deliverable to ensure a successful and effective facility.

**Requirements**:

- Pharmacist or related clinical qualification with a minimum of four years’ experience of which at least two years must be in the private hospital sector
- Excellent Financial acumen/ Business qualification/experience
- Must have previous managerial/ account management experience in a hospital/ large practice environment with creating a funnel of referrals/ business into the said business
- Excellent relationship building and marketing skills
- Must be able to work independently, be innovative, and team-oriented
- Proven stock management experience and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills
- Excellent leadership attributes
- Ability to absorb and adapt to private sector dynamics
- Well versed in Microsoft Office, with accounting experience
- Ability to work extended and or flexible hours when required
- Thorough understanding of the South African Medical industry

**Key Outputs**:

- Drive business growth and development
- Manage and control the hospitals budget / finances
- Strictly adhere to the prescribed company policies and procedures
- Contribute constructively to these policies and procedures
- Perform all duties pertaining to the management of the facility
- Manage stock and administration
- Investigate, mitigate, and manage operational risks and communicate all data with Senior Management
- Manage the shift roster
- Attend prescribed Management Meetings
- Strategic placement of staff and maintain sustainable synergies
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the hospital’s strategic business plan in correlation to the Groups Business Plan
- Manage and oversee all operational matters at the hospital
- Recruit new Specialists when required - e.g.

Internal medicine

Rehabilitation care and frail care experience

Surgical - orthopaedic and general surgery etc.
- Manage a multi-disciplinary team of managers and supervisors
- Improve and maintain the delivery of health services by strategizing to improve the efficiency and quality of care
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders that is mutually beneficial to the hospital
- Marketing - Establishment of patient referral network and awareness of services of facility - marketing to potential referral group and or patients, as well as medical schemes and industry bodies (e.g. NHN, DOH, etc)
- Attend to ad _hoc_ queries and meetings

Ability to commute/relocate to Cape Town
