Business Manager to The Cfo

The role of the Business Manager will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and should have a strong financial background and good project management knowledge as well as an in-depth knowledge of the business and industry.

**Your Responsibilities Will Include**
- To assist the CFO with various functions ranging from pro-active financial analysis to business and increase the available time and agility of the CFO to focus his time, effort, and priorities on strategic initiatives
- To act as a liaison between the CFO and other stakeholders both internal and external
- To be responsible for all the data reporting needs within the business to integrate into Exco and board reports
- Project management and ensure on-time delivery of action items within budget requirements
- Prepare the necessary documentation and presentations as required for internal and external audiences by prioritizing and validating information that facilitates sound decision-making
- Evaluate commercial information and recommend compelling value propositions
- Oversee and deliver on strategic projects in the office of the CFO as aligned to the company’s strategic roadmap
- Promote a service mentality and develop strong relationships with consumer, business and technology areas
- Resolve problems and mediate disputes before it is escalated to the CFO where possible
- Facilitate the receipt and dissemination of key information by working closely with the CFO and the relevant leadership team
- Represent the CFO in meetings and action decisions / deliverables as mandated from time to time
- Financial review/analysis and interpretation
- Prepare executive summaries and updates on expenditure/cost against deliverables
- Proactively engage relevant teams on operational and reporting items as required from time to time
- Monitor and support the implementation of cost saving initiatives
- Reporting and Governance
- Ensure a sound reporting framework and good governance principles are in place and is adhered to, in alignment to Company’s standards.
- Work with key stakeholders to design and develop and an automated dashboard that displays the CFO’s KPIʼs and is fit for purpose
- Ensure business decisions are implemented and executed within the approved and accepted governance framework
- Ad hoc requirements

**Technical and professional qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred
- 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the retail sector
- CPA or CFA certification is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations
- Project management experience
- Experience in consumer or business credit environment will be an advantage
