Client based in Cape Town, is seeking a Operations/ Warehouse Manager

**Requirements**:

- **Duties**:_

**Overseeing, Executing Deliveries and Pickups**
- Answering all relevant incoming calls with regards to pickups and deliveries and putting these up on the whiteboard
- Planning the schedule for all pickups as well as informing the drivers of the schedule
- Monitoring of all pickups and driver movements and sorting out any problems
- Overseeing of all incoming and outgoing freight
- Arrange to Shunt trucks / trailers in the yard

**Quotations**
- Preparing of accurate quotes for clients
- Follow up on all outstanding quotes and report to direct Management.
- Assist management to farm new accounts

**Management of warehouse staff and Long-Distance Drivers**
- Supervising of staff in receiving, counting, weighing, and loading of trucks
- Making sure that staff have correctly marked all the outgoing loads.
- Managing the time schedules of staff, loading of trucks, and ensuring that overtime is kept to a minimum.
- Ensuring all staff timetables are accurate and up to date.
- Following up on all tasks issued to the warehouse staff as well as the drivers.
- Informing Senior management of any problems or issues with regards to the warehouse staff and drivers
- Training and overseeing that all custom clerks and warehouse staff complete their duties and any other duties expected of them.
- Ensuring that there are no problems with the trucks or the drivers and if there are inform directors of the problems and take prompt action.
- Ensuring that the premises (warehouse, yard, office and bathrooms) are clean and neat at all times.
- Make sure offices are locked and that the alarm is on and in working order after all work are done.
- If you are for some or other reason not able to lock up, you must make arrangements before hand so that somebody else can lock up
- The office keys are your responsibility, and you must know where it is at all times

**Admin**
- Accurate entries into Parcel Perfect i.e. Delivery notes, manifests, load confirmations and any other documentation that concerns this issue.
- Border documentation must be accurate with whatever program is used to complete it
- Filing of all necessary documents
- Answering of phones and taking messages for people unavailable
- Processing of Accurate invoices. If not contact supplier and get the accurate original invoice
- Ensuring that all deliveries in Windhoek with special arrangements are correct and if not take the necessary actions to rectify these issues
- Any queries that might develop in operations must be resolved before it is invoiced in the accounts department

**Monitoring of Own trucks and Subcontractors**
- Ensuring that from when the trucks leave until they reach their destination that there are no problems at the borders. If there are any issues, report to the directors and act promptly on the issues.
- Ensuring that the truck is loaded to the exact weight specification and that all necessary documentation is with the driver.
- Ensure that you have the contact numbers for the drivers.
- When necessary, organize subcontractors’ trucks and insure that all necessary paper work are completed

**Salary**: R38,000.00 - R40,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
