An opportunity has become available for an** Electrician** to join the team at **National Brands Ltd, Westmead, Biscuit Factory**. The role will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and be responsible for the scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance of all equipment and machinery in the factory with a view to maximising availability. **Line Manager**:Maintenance Manager** **Job Specification**: **Key Performance Areas**: **Maintenance Execution**: **Preventative Maintenance** - Execution of Planned Maintenance activities to the required quality and standard as required in a food-processing factory. - Breakdown Maintenance - Execution of Ad-hoc Maintenance activities to the required quality and standard as required in a food-processing factory. **Plant and Equipment Performance**: **Preventative and Ad-Hoc Maintenance** - Execution of Planned Maintenance activities according to specified tasks in line with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) specifications to ensure equipment meets Engineering Availability targets. - Execution of Ad-hoc Maintenance activities to the required quality and standard as required in a food-processing factory. - Ensure downtime is minimized and repeat breakdowns are prevented when executing repairs and maintenance. **Safety, Risk and Compliance** - To ensure compliance with the OSHACT**.** **Quality and Food Safety** - Ensure compliance with legislation & maintain accreditations with the various Quality & Food Safety "governing" bodies. **Minimum Requirements**: **Experience**: - 5 - 8 Years post-Trade Test experience in an FMCG or Manufacturing environment - Experience in high-speed packaging and processing equipment - Computerized Maintenance Management Systems **Qualifications**: - Qualified Trade Tested Electrician - N4 Engineering qualification **Additional Requirements**: - Knowledge of Food Safety Policy & Procedures for Maintenance Personnel - QMS, HACCP, and GMP Knowledge is advantageous - Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license with own transport to be available for shift work - Required to work overtime at short notice - Required to perform stand-by duties **Competencies**: - Thinking Analytically - Thinking Rationally - Building Relationships - Staying Composed - Meeting Deadlines - Attention to Detail - Minimising Risk - Taking Initiative
